Running With Scissors Chardonnay

So this whole blogging beers is one thing... I mean I would consider myself to have a well-versed beer pallet. However reviewing wine is an entirely new ballpark. Jessi and I are not claiming to be any sort of professionals. I don't even know if we have a sensitive enough taster to pick up on all the subtleties wine offers. We're just know what we like and why we like it (at least we think we do) and that's what we'll share with you.

Here's a great little chard for all you white wine lovers out there. We stumbled across it at our weekly Trader Joe's visit. We just can't seem to come out of there without grabbing a couple of bottles. One of my biggest pevs with chards is that many of the $6-$10 range seems to be overly tart on the finish. Some taste like sour grape juice and some are just not good. So more often than not we go with a malbec or cabernet. Lately we've been on the hunt for a great low-priced chard for our wedding. The Running with Scissors Chardonnay 2006 was one of our recent picks that we enjoyed. It has a real oaky full-bodied flavor but leaves a smoother, not so tart aftertaste which we enjoyed very much and hope you do too. I would have given the link to the Vineyard's website but I can't seem to find it.

As the warm weather fast approaches, I have placed this wine on my list to discover and experience. Thanks for sharing your find with us.

I feel the same way about my palate for wine, so I'm looking forward to reading your reviews! Also looking forward to perhaps learning about some US wines, as we're so spoilt for local wines here in Australia it is easy to just stick to our own.

I was reading an article yesterday saying that punters are shunning clever or silly names of wines and vineyards, but I am determined to buck the trend. I quite like this one :)

Hm... that looks like a good one! I love TJ's. We always stock up on a medley of wine there! It's fun to try an assortment.
